Purpose:	Showcase the value-add of the Cloud Migration Factory (CMF) service from Microsoft to our partners

 

What is the Cloud Migration Factory (CMF)? 

The CMF is a white-label migration service executed by Microsoft to provide rehost migration services for Infrastructure, Apps, and Data workloads at Zero Cost to your our partners and your customers.

One of the primary advantages of the CMF is the ability to jumpstart the migration journey for on-premises workloads to Microsoft Azure at no cost to partners.  This includes migrations for Windows Servers, Linux Servers, SQL Server, Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD), NoSQL, OSS databases, Data Analytics and AI, Application migrations to Azure PaaS services, and Security.  By providing hands-on keyboard resources delivered by the Microsoft CMF extended team, partners can plan and complete Azure lift and shift migrations efficiently without incurring additional costs.

The Microsoft CMF Customer Success Team will work with you, our partner, on the execution of the Azure migration, to add capacity to your team, and help accelerate migrations to Azure.   The CMF is ideal for partners who may either lack the migration expertise, or do not currently have the bandwidth to migrate customers workload to Azure.  The CMF also offers a high-level execution flow that includes triage, prerequisites, migration planning, execution, validation, and sign-off, ensuring a structured and predictable migration process.

Moreover, the CMF engagement model allows partners to leverage Microsoft’s extensive resources and expertise, including network and security services, technical assessments, migration planning, and resourcing.  This collaborative approach not only simplifies the Azure migration process, but also ensures that all partner services are eligible for Microsoft funds incentives.

By working closely with the CMF Team, partners can benefit from detailed execution plans, support for Application and functional testing, and final approval and sign-off processes. This comprehensive support system helps partners deliver successful migrations, enhance customer satisfaction, and ultimately drive business growth.
